Wass Foundation was established by Wasa Company in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2014 with a clear purpose—to unite charities across the country and strengthen their ability to create real impact. We help organizations build trust, increase visibility, and attract donors by providing a transparent and collaborative platform.
Our mission is to bring charities together under one system where accountability, cooperation, and compassion drive measurable results. We work closely with organizations to design projects based on their actual needs and challenges, ensuring that every effort is purposeful and effective.
Beyond support, we empower charities to become sustainable. We help them create long-term funding solutions by developing income-generating businesses, reducing dependency on donations and building financial stability.
We prioritize charities that focus on supporting children and the elderly—those who are most vulnerable—so that no one is left behind.
We don’t have any permanent and sustainable source of funds neither abroad nor locally based. So far, only a few committed individuals help us stay afloat.
At the moment, we serve our needy community while renting a compound. Ideally we aim to own it so we are free from the pressure of paying the rent.
While we have achieved a certain amount of success, there are so many other orphans, children and their mothers who barely survive in the streets of Addis Ababa. Food, clothes, volunteers, paying employees are always welcome.
Over the years, Wass Foundation has united countless charities, supported vulnerable communities, and strengthened collaboration across Ethiopia. The numbers tell a powerful story — but the real impact lies in what we will achieve together in the years ahead.
